Control Panel (cPanel/WHM)

What is a package in WHM and why is it useful?

In WHM, a package is a defined set of system limitations for a given account governing resources such as quota, bandwidth, max FTP accounts, max email accounts, max email lists, max databases, max subdomains, max parked domains, max addon domains, and other optional settings.

WHM allows for the creation of packages, which are useful for VPS resellers who benefit from offering their customers a diverse range of hosting options. Resellers will create packages of varying types for their customers. Then, when a reseller creates a new domain account and assigns a package to it, the domain’s cPanel account will be restricted to the predetermined limitations of that package.
