I received a Park Wrapper Error in cPanel. What should I do?

When trying to add an addon domain, or parked domain, you might run across a Park Wrapper Error. It is almost always related to a DNS issue, usually a stuck zone record or something similar. cPanel will give you more details when the error occurs, and you can usually take it from there. If you are unsure, you can always open a customer portal ticket with the error and we will resolve it.

Two common errors and their solutions are:


Error from park wrapper: is already configured

This means that a DNS Zone File already exists for the domain you are trying to create. To fix this error:

  1. Log into WHM.
  2. Navigate to DNS Functions and click Delete a DNS Zone.
  3. On the next page, select the domain name you are trying to add and click Delete

If this doesn’t work, please open a ticket through your customer portal and we will gladly look into this for you.

cPanel account conflict

If the error relates to a domain already added to the server, check to make sure it is not already set up as a separate cPanel account or an addon/parked domain on another account. If so, you can remove it. You should then be able to add it to the new account. If it is not added to another account, and you are still getting this error, you can open a customer portal ticket with us and we will investigate further.
