Today we announced the launch of a new self-managed virtual private server (VPS) offering. This new product will allow our customers to create a custom hosting solution that pairs our VPS infrastructure with individual support options.
“Our customers have asked for more control over their hosting package and support services in order to help keep their expenses in check. And we understand that the small business is very budget conscious,” stated William Goss, ServInt COO. “To support our customers needs, we developed this value-priced infrastructure package, and created a menu of optional support services a customer can add, allowing each customer to create their own unique hosting solution.”
The Self-Managed VPS hosting package starts at $27 per month, and is designed for the experienced Linux user who is comfortable using the command line to manage the server.
“ServInt’s technical experts continue to manage the infrastructure, and the customer has full control of the server environment. The server comes equipped with all the features an experienced developer or system administration professional needs, like full root access and a choice of operating systems. But we removed extras that the experienced Linux user doesn’t need,” adds Goss. “The customer can then add their choice of managed services to create a custom hosting solution that meets their budget and computing needs.”
