There are several different way of logging into Plesk.
- If your domain name has not propagated, use this URL: https://YourIPAddress:8443 (where “YourIPAddress” is written in the XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX format)
- If your domain name has propagated, you can access Plesk with the following URLs: https://www.YourDomainName.com/plesk or https://www.YourDomainName.com:8443.
Once connected, you may receive a notice saying, “This Connection is Untrusted” or something similar. This is normal and nothing to worry about. In order to ensure security, Plesk loads a default, self-signed SSL certificate that your browser is unfamiliar with. Your browser should give you the option to “Add an Exception” or “Bypass the Error” for this particular URL. In short, you are simply telling your browser that you are familiar with the URL and that it does not pose a security risk.
Once you have added the exception, you will be prompted to enter a username and password. For Plesk, the main administrative username should be “admin” (without the quotations marks), and the password is the one you chose when your purchased the server. This is one of the most important passwords in terms of accessing your server, and we recommend you maintain secure password practices.
After you have submitted the correct credentials, you will be taken to Plesk’s main menu.
Please note: ServInt has discontinued support for the Plesk control panel.
