SSL Certificates

All About SSL certificates at ServInt

What is an SSL certificate?

An SSL (Secure Socket Layer) certificate is used for server authentication, data encryption, and message integrity checks. Once set up to access SSL encryption, your Internet communications are transmitted in encrypted form. After purchasing a valid SSL certificate, your data is shown in a browser to be trusted to arrive privately and unaltered.

Does ServInt offer SSL certificates?

ServInt offers both quick verification and full verification SSL Certificates. Either option allows you to place an authentication logo on your website. We will assist you in installing any SSL Certificate purchased through ServInt.

How do I purchase an SSL certificate from ServInt?

Once your ServInt Cloud VPS or dedicated server is setup and ready for use, log in to the Customer Portal and under Manage Servers for the server, click on Order Addons.

Can I install an SSL certificate purchased from a third party?

You are free to purchase and install your own SSL certificates, but ServInt is unable to assist you in setting up any certificates we do not control.

Can I have more than one certificate per server?

Yes, but each SSL certificate will require a unique IP address.
