How-To

Why are my CGI scripts not working (using Plesk)?

Non-functioning CGI scripts can have many causes, which can be frustrating, but there are ways to try to methodically get to the bottom of it.

  1. Check the permissions on the file itself. Make sure it is readable and executable by the user that it should be running under.
  2. Make sure you have all the CGI dependency libraries installed that you need for the script.
  3. You can also check the Apache error log at /var/log/httpd/error_log to see what error is being generated when the script runs.

Please note: ServInt has discontinued support for the Plesk control panel.
